Exciting Changes

On the Way!

We are excited to share an update on St. Peter's Episcopal Church. After extensive inspections over the past year, we have determined the best path forward to ensure a strong future for our community. With the support of the Episcopal Diocese of SC and our architect, Charles Kane (FormVoid), you will begin to see changes to the building in the coming weeks.

Construction Update

While the Church nave and Admin building are structurally sound, they require significant repair. However, the classrooms and parish hall (right side of the building) have extensive water and termite damage, along with asbestos. Therefore, these structures will be demolished starting in late March/April, with asbestos remediation already underway.

Following demolition, we will transform the interior of the nave and replace the exterior stucco with siding better suited for our lowcountry climate. Once the nave is complete, we will move worship there and begin upgrading the Admin building.

We will host an Open House for neighbors and the West Ashley community to see these improvements; a date will be set once asbestos removal is complete.

Worship is held onsite in the temporary worship space at 5pm each Sunday. Please know you are welcome to join us!

Thank you for your prayers as we embark on this exciting transformation.
